My Feather

In Room 5 we are learning about the Maroi cloak, I have learned it because the stuff inside it that was what we learned about.The chef and the prestige had to wear it on the night time, when the 7 Matariki Stars show up. I know when I learn't it when I used it on the night when the 7 Matariki Stars show up.

We are learning about Saints, I know about it because I searched information about Saints, My Saint is Saint Mark. In room 5 we are learning about constellations, I have learned this because I have learned it, Constellations are stars that make drawings in the sky.This is my constellation it is call hercules.

AFOREST Threes

We are learning about AFOREST from the letter t.I learned it because I know what AFOREST is and the letter T means saying a word three times so it makes my writing interesting.

How Maroi people preserve with fermintation

We are learning how the Maori people use fermentation to preserve back in there years. We went in groups and each of them had a question to say.And my groups was about how Maori people preserve fermentation.I know this because we have found information about it.

Stars And Planets

We are learning about the differences and similarities between the Planets and the Stars using a Venn diagram. I know I have learnt this when I have made a Venn diagram about the Planets and the Stars

Prayer

WALT pray for people that are in purgatory. Purgatory is a place were you reflect, on what you did on earth.

Dear Holy God

Thank you for guiding Saints to the right path that are in heaven.

Saints that are in purgatory help them remember their times on earth. People who didn't go to heaven, help them try to find another way to heaven.

When I die would I go to heaven  I  would like to go to heaven just like the Saints so I can have a holy life.

Maths problems

Facebook for children under 13

I believe using Facebook when we are under 13 is dangerous.

We should not have Facebook if we are under 13 because we could share something on Facebook the should be private like our address. We shouldn't show our address in Facebook because the people on Facebook could steal something in your house.

We shouldn't use Facebook when we are under 13 because someone could bully us. They can bully us by saying we are horrible and they also could say you can’t do it like if you are good at something and someone hates you they said you can’t do it.

We should not have a Facebook account because they could say swear words at us.Swear words are bad because it is not a holy thing to say.

I believe using Facebook is dangerous when we are under 13 they could do something.Someone could bully us they could say swear words at us.

Factories

We are learning to persuade people to not build a factory on our courts.

I believe that having a factory is awful.

We should not have a factory because we won't be able to play on the courts.We need  courts because we can't play basketball if the courts are gone! we won't be fit and healthy.If we are not healthy we will get fat.

The factory might have smoke and the little kids could get sick because it will make them die early.Also we could not concentrate because we can smell the smoke and we will cough alot.

When parents will find a school for their children they will see the smoke from the factory and they won't send their children to our school.We should have students because we want to meet them and the school could be gone forever, if there is no students.

Having a factory is yuck we won't have the courts, smoke is yuck we won't have a school.

Food Pyramid

 WALT: What is good food that you need to eat because God created us and we have to respect ourselves.
I know I learned it because we have a food pyramid that helps you to be healthy and what food you need to eat everyday or a week.

Area

Walt estimate the area or shape with people inside it.We have learned it by doing the 6 steps which was draw a shape, estimate,  take a  photo, check it, take a photo of the people in it, and then make a statement. This is my statement.

Uniforms

We are learning about the structure of a pearsuasve writing a structure the order things go in. I know the structure because thesis goes first then 3 main reasons with examples and facts then you finish with conclusion.

Respect

WALT tell people of what respect means to me and us.We have learned this because I can show that I can obey my parents and teachers, make all your friends happy, try be good to people who is bad to you, and care about people.

Goals

WALT write goals to help us measure our learning

My goal for writing is to try to make my writing a lot better.It is important because I want to write something to people and they will find it interesting to read. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be reading my writing  and share my writing with someone and when it is correct I have to  show my writing to my teacher.

My goal for Reading is to know how to read difficult words. It is important because I want to read to someone and to everyone with confidence in myself. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will be to read aloud to someone/people and they will tell me if I read the words correctly.

My goal for Maths is to figure out answers quick. It is important because I could be timed of fast can I solve maths problems. The steps I will take to achieve my goal will to test myself of how long I could.

Special Grace

WALT identify how the sacrament of sick preparing people for the death.This is a letter N with drawings of the graces of anointing of the sick. When you are sick and going to die we would feel sad scared and afraid. The graces make you feel better.

Ten fast fingers Score

Walt achieve our sore to beat our teachers score. Our teacher had 48 , in ten fast fingers. I took a snap shot of my score. I needed 48  words or above to beat my teachers score in ten fast fingers I need to keep practicing this so I can win.

Walt write vocab words instead of words we all know like look I put a picture of my vocab words and the boring word is in the middle.

Healing prayer

Dear Healing God.

Thank you when you heal people in hospital. Thank you when you heal people who are poor thank you when you heal people with no food, and thank you when you heal people who fight and heal people who have died.

God thank you when you guide me when i fight, thank you when you helped me when i was angry, and thank you when i was sad.

God thank you when you help doctors be not so tired in the the hospital because they stay early morning. Help doctors not to be sleepy in hospitals.

God thank you for making my life good, God thank you when you make me lucky, and thank you when you help me win.

We have been learning about how to create a positive digital footprint. How do we know we are creating a positive digital footprint? Because you have to think before you share or click as every one can see it. We had to look at our history on our Chromebook then put pictures of the web sites that we looked at. Jesus Entering Jerusalem

We have been learning about Jesus entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. It is called Palm Sunday because people put palm branches for Jesus to walk on the rocks or road. This is my newspaper of Palm Sunday. I hope you enjoy it.
